PHILIPSBURG:--- The Sint Maarten Tourism Bureau (STB), kicked off in early November a number of activities marking Caribbean Tourism Month (CTM) 2021 under the theme, Caribbean Comeback.

PHILIPSBURG:---  On Tuesday, June 1st, Dutchbased foundation Childfund Sint Maarten hosted a ceremony at the Helmich Snijders Hillside Christian School, where the chairman, Mr. GerritJan Greven, presented 26 schools with vouchers for school uniforms. The foundation has a mission to ensure that all children, regardless of background, can have a proper school uniform and feel a sense of belonging to a school community.

PHILIPSBURG:--- On January 20, 2021, the Philipsburg Jubilee Library opened the doors of its first satellite for public use at in Cay Hill and surrounding neighborhoods. A Satellite Library is a decentralized location of the main library, to improve accessibility and visibility in the community and to promote, stimulate, and encourage reading.

CAY HILL:--- in an effort to increase the safety of staff, visitors, and all pedestrians, St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) has facilitated the installation of two pedestrian crossings on the Welgelegen Road.
Due to the construction of the new St. Maarten General Hospital (SMGH) and several essential upgrades to the existing hospital such as the construction of an MRI Suite, an Operating Room Complex and five (5) new double patient rooms, parking facilities on-premise are not sufficient.
